Looking for a great LOCAL serving opportunity? We invite you to join us September 26-27 (Sat/Sun) for a 2 day 500+ volunteer food packing event.
STM and FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN have partnered for a 100,000 meal packinging event. FMSC is responsible for feeding over 80 MILLION meals yearly worldwide to destitute children and families, and it happens because of people like you.
This is a great opportunity for your whole family, youth group, company, or small group to join together to make a difference. The event will involve churches and organizations from all throughout California.  And for just 17 cents you can add one extra meal to that 100,000 total. The event will be hosted at the Santa Ana Project warehouse in Santa Ana (5FWY/17th ST) and we are looking for folks to commit to a two hour shift minimum.

Upcoming Santa Ana Outreach Events
SEPTEMBER 5, 2009 is the next Saturday Santa Ana Project Outreach. The distribution of food time to will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Volunteer time is from 8:30 AM to about 1:00 PM, and we do need 5-6 volunteers to stay for clean up, 12:00-2:30 PM... On arrival, please check in at the REGISTRATION table and pick up your name tags. Please wear closed toe shoes , use SUN SCREEN and wear a HAT.
Parking is at the GRAND AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (tall concrete cross in front), 2121 N. Grand Ave. Santa Ana, 92705 and a shuttle bus will bring you to the distribution site parking lot at 1206 East 17th street. The shuttle bus starts at 8:00 AM.

As summer draws to a close and the kids start heading back to school, life seems to start to "speed up" yet again. Now imagine instead of your normal size family, you have anywhere from 38 to 112 kids to get back into the swing of things. We at Strong Tower Ministries wish to offer our prayers of support and encouragement to the folks at the Purple Palace, Rancho Sordo Mudo, Door of Faith, and all the other amazing ministries that continue to pour out love and devotion to the kids you serve. Those same prayers and words of encouragement are also meant for each one of your families, who sacrifice time and resources to serve a cause bigger than ourselves.
This month, we would like to highlight two incredible serving opportunities. The first is the Feed My Starving Children Food Packing Event, where you and 500 of your closet friends can take a short drive to Santa Ana and volunteer to pack over 600,000 meals for children in desperate need that this ministry provides over 80 million meals for annually worldwide. The second is your opportunity to take part in our OCT 4th "Be the Light" Fundraiser to benefit the construction of the newborn and premature infant Nursery underway at the Door of Faith.
Now is the time to look forward to making a difference for Him together.

YOUR INVITED TO "BE THE LIGHT" AT THE STM GALA EVENT FUNDRAISER SUNDAY, OCT 4th
Sunday, October 4th @ 5PM
Join us for an evening of Fine Dining, Music & Fellowship, featuring a benefit concert performance by Saddleback Church's own Mike Wallace and Sheena Loza. Other highlights of the evening to include a Gourmet Meal by Hanna's Restaurant, Silent Auction, and Keynote Address delivered by Hilda Pacheco, Founder of Corazon De Vida. The event will be held at the Rancho Santa Margarita Bell Tower in the William Lyons Homes Ballroom.
Proceeds of the event will go toward the completion of the Door of Faith Nursery Project.
Cost for the event is $100.00 per plate, a portion of which is tax deductible. Tickets are on sale now and seating is limited to 250 persons, so don't delay! Make sure to indicate folks you would like to be seated with (tables of 10, perfect for your small group....)
