Dear ,

As we head into to the holiday season, even with all of the hysteria going on in the market places, stop and give thanks for what we do have. Always keep in mind that God is real and is in control.

One of the most amazing things about the recently premiered film project "Hearing Everett", was that it allowed you to see that "....in all things God works for the good of those who love him and have been called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28 NIV.  To see a small boy become 85% deaf at the age of five at first glance seems tragic. But from that incident, over 40 years of God's plan and purpose unfolds.  "Be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

Remember that in whatever circumstance, whether it's a trial or a test you may be facing, God will work it out for the good. It is impossible to please God without faith, and we are called to thank Him in the midst of these times. We pray that His peace that surpasses all understanding would be with you in all that you do.

In His Grace,
Michael Walsh
Founder and President

 So Whats the Need? .........................................................FOOD
It doesn't matter if you are asking about one of our STM ministry projects, or any of the other ministries and orphanages along the Baja Peninsula, one of the major needs right now during the holiday season is not toys for the kids, its food to feed the children.  This is due in part to the tough economic times that local churches and support groups in Mexico are experiencing and the sudden drop off of Americans going into Baja that would normally provide relief in this area.

So What Can I do?

  • Give a monetary donation for food purchase
  • Donate a Costco or Smart and Final Gift Card
  • Participate in next Saturdays San Diego area  "Food Drop off and Distribution  Day"  (See Below)
  • Pray for God's provision and that the children's needs continue to be met.

The Walls are going UP on the Door of Faith Nursery During the month of November!
dof 5

We invite any folks out there interested in putting in a Mexico serving day  to join us the entire month of November as we assist in helping raise the first floor walls of the nursery building project.

Several individuals have stepped up and donated the necessary funding for materials to complete the slab and first floor walls, so now we just need the "hands and feet" that are willing to mix and pour concrete, and set the blocks. Whether you're a skilled tradesman or just willing to put your muscles in motion, jump in and join us on one or all of the Saturdays during the month of November.

The plan is to leave early Saturday mornings and caravan down and back. We are looking for folks with vans or suv's to provide transportation.

For more information or to reserve a spot for you and your friends, contact Steve at steve@strongtowerministries.info or call 800 619-5351.

Hearing Everett Premieres at Warner Brother Studios
he screening
On October 10th, a packed house at one of the "on the lot" screening rooms at Warner Brothers Studios viewed the premiere of Hearing Everett: The Rancho Sordo Mudo Story. Both cast and crew, along with friends, family members, and pastors traveled from all over the country to be a part of the event. Craig Detweiler, Associate Professor of Theology and Culture at Fuller Seminary, was the Master of Cerimonies and Luke and Eddie Everett, along with the films director T.C. Johnstone, were on hand to share their thoughts and thank all the countless volunteers that made this project possible.

The Rancho Sordo Mudo Project

From :  Luke Everett, Co- Director of Rancho Sordo Mudo
To:  You

Dear Friends,

The Hearing Everett film premier at Warner Brothers Studios was a highlight of my life. Not because we were in Hollywood, but because I was seeing and being with friends. Friends, most of who 2 years ago I did not know, but now are my dear brothers and sisters in Christ. I want to say "thank you" to my new friends from Strong Tower, who saw fit to bring an amazing story to the screen to challenge others to step out and serve Jesus. These past 2 years have not only been fun and exciting, but also spiritually and mentally challenging. Going over and reliving the toughest moments in your life again and again is hard, but it's a sacrifice we give to God. Life and ministry are not cheap. However in the end, everyone's goal should be to see Jesus lifted up, glorified, and pointed to, so that others might see Him too. I think we've accomplished that. Thank you for all your prayers, giving, and love. It is through people like you that this film project and ministry can go on. Keep praying, because this thing is just getting started.

Love because of Jesus,
Luke Everett

Rwanda-Shyogwe Project "Building a girls dorm"

Joe and Richard are looking for volunteers who would be willing to step up and help plan a special fundraising gala in February before Valentine's Day.  Plans are also being made for a "spring trip" to the school for a special "ground breaking" dedication ceremony of the girl's dormitory.  The  proceeds of the benefit would go directly to the building project. Please contact Richard at RichardC@richardcohenlandscape.com  if you are interested in getting involved with the project or being a part of the spring serving trip.
