December Serving Trip to Baja!

For those looking for the perfect serving trip for the whole family, a 1 or 2 day trip is planned for December 18th and 19th!! You will be bringing Christmas cheer to  kids in Rosarito and Guadalupe Valley, the sites of our next two building projects. Day one consists of caravanning to the My Father's House neighborhood where we will host a Christmas program with some local churches for the kids that includes crafts, gifts, and food distribution. For those doing the "overnighter",  we will continue on to Rancho Sordo Mudo Saturday afternoon. There, we will spend the night, serve a meal to the kids and staff, deliver Christmas gifts, tour the new building site, and attend church at the Ranch Sunday morning before heading back across the border early Sunday afternoon. For those interested in finding out more information or to book your spot, please reply to jim@strongtowerministries.info or or contact Jim at 949 212-8071.

WE HAVE A NEED

STM is looking for someone qualified to do an accounting audit of our ministry in order to obtain grants for future funding of our ministry. If you, or someone you know would be interested in this serving opportunity, please contact us!

MY Father's House
 (La Casa De Mi Padre)

After a several month process, all the necessary permits for construction of the My Father's House Project have been approved by the city of Rosarito. The last of the meetings concluded on Friday of last week and within two weeks permits should be in hand. A big thanks to all who have been praying for the project, as there were a lot of obstacles to overcome, such as the community center being located too close to a store selling alcohol, parking issues, and even the city itself being the culprit when it was discovered part of the property had been lost during a recent road paving project!

Although the construction budget has yet to be finalized, it is estimated the project is still approximately $20,000 short of the necessary funding needed to start Phase1. A significant portion of the funding will go towards the purchase of rebar, cement, and concrete blocks.

Please join us for the upcoming December Baja Trip to see the site and fellowship with the kids that My Father's
House will one day serve.

Over the last five years, God has taken this ministry on an amazing journey. Its a journey that has taken some folks hundreds of miles into Baja Mexico and others a just a few miles from home. Thousands of people have given of their time, talents, and treasures in big and small ways. The key is ALL those who have participated have had a willing heart and a "go" attitude.  October was no different, as hundreds of you helped make the Living Waters and WetNWild 5k Run/Walk benefits successful events. As we head into November, we still seek to serve and obey God's call, as together we continue on this Kingdom building journey.

This newsletter contains exciting information on how you, your family, and friends can stay involved by connecting with STM's next two projects: My Father's House and the RSM Missionary Training Center/Auditorium. Don't miss the one/two day Baja trip option the weekend of December 18th & 19th that is guaranteed to be a trip you'll never forget!

New Project Announcement!
RSM Missionary Training Center/Auditorium

For the first time in STM's history, we are stepping out in faith to be the conduit for 2 simultaneous building projects. As many of you may or may not know, STM has already partnered with Rancho Sordo Mudo in a previous project that involved the making of a feature length documentary film and small group series entitled Hearing Everett. Since the completion of the Hearing Everett Project, the Ranch has continued its current mission but has also expanded its vision. RSM not only wants to continue to reach the deaf children of Mexico while engaging people into service from within the boundaries of the Ranch, but also seeks to equip and send out others to start ministering to the deaf throughout Latin America and eventually globally.  One of

RSM MTC Front
RSM Missionary Training Center/Auditorium

the key elements involved in accomplishing this goal would be the construction of a Training Center/Auditorium at RSM.

This facility would provide classrooms and a lecture hall for students and volunteer staff at the Ranch to complete courses designed to equip them to go out and start other deaf ministries based on the successful model the Ranch has employed for over 40 years. The 3,500 sq ft facility would also be open to college students abroad from the United States and other countries to get specialized training as it pertains to deaf culture, evangelism to the deaf, and the establishment, maintenance, and operational functions of a deaf ministry. With millions of unreached deaf worldwide (many of them children) who have never had a language or a way to learn about the Gospel, this facility will be the catalyst of change and hope.

RSM MTC LayoutConstruction is scheduled to start (weather permitting) before year's end, and a constant stream of skilled and unskilled volunteers will be needed to make this dream a reality. Stay tuned for more information on construction budgets, material lists, building schedules, and other ways to get involved. To find out more information and get updates go to the RSM PROJECT PAGE of our website. You can also check out the project "firsthand" by joining us on the December 18th and 19th Baja trip!

Living Water's and WetNWild 5K Run/Walk Events

It was A GLORIOUS DAY!

First of all, the weather was PICTURE PERFECT!! After several days of rain earlier in the week, the skies were a beautiful blue with the highest temperature around 84 degrees... 5k group shotcooler in the morning for the 400 who participated in the 5K.
  Sponsored Kids at Living Waters

About 250 kids from Santa Ana and L.A. were there thanks to sponsors. The ministry venue was lined with unusual and captivating display booths under the shade of the trees...with all the groups ministering to the various needs of destitute children and youth.  There was even the framework of a small home being constructed all during the day from CLUB DUST!

The musicians and speakers were GREAT!

They filled the air with their praise and testimonies, one after another all day long!

Compelling!!  The Good News of God's Love, in words and music, was continually reaching out into the park over loudspeakers.

But God's love was also flowing in less obvious and visible ways from individual to individual.  I heard people sharing their testimonies with each other, and even just as things were closing I saw a group of three standing together circled in prayer.

This long-awaited, much-anticipated day concluded with most of the performance artists, speakers and other key people on stage, and some of the many, many volunteers gathered around for a final awesome praise session led by Philip Bardowell. Hands were raised...God was praised!
For me that was was a peak experience!

I can't thank you enough for standing in prayer for this, perhaps the first of many annual "Living Waters" events!  A special thanks to those in other states and countries who took specific people to your hearts and prayer closets not knowing them personally....but still referring to them in your messages to me as "my people."

May God greatly bless you!!!
