2 Fantastic
Events Happening on 1 Great Day!
LIVING WATERS
This year STM is
hosting an event we're sure your family, youth organization, or church
group wont want to miss! This year we are inviting folks from all over
San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, and Orange Counties to join us for a
fun-filled day at Wild Rivers Waterpark in Irvine, CA. First, a
5K Run/Walk event will kick off the morning. Following that,
the waterpark will open at 10:00AM for a 6 hour event entitled "Living
Waters". The day will include all of the normal waterpark attractions,
along with a Worship Venue featuring live
music and featured guest speakers. There
will also be a Ministry Fair designed to
showcase dozens of ministries from Southern California and Baja Mexico
that you or your youth group can connect with. So whether its a great
outreach opportunity you're looking for, or just a family fun day,
LIVING WATERS is the place to be. All proceeds of both events will go
towards STM and the projects and ministries we serve.
SO HOW CAN I HELP OR HOW DO I ATTEND????
STM will have exclusive rights to the
waterpark on the day of the Living Waters event. So we are looking for
folks to START SPREADING THE WORD NOW !!! The more awareness we
can get before schools and colleges break for summer or
family vacations begin, the better. We are looking for volunteers
willing to help contact local area churches, schools, colleges, and
youth organizations to calendar the Living Waters event and start
selling tickets. We are also looking for corporate sponsors for both
events. If you would be willing to help in the effort, please contact
us at 949 689-9681 and we will get you set up with plenty of marketing
materials, call lists, or to attend a meeting about the event.

NEW PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT!!
My Father House ( La Casa De Mi Padre)

"Through him you believe in God, who
raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope
are in God." 1 Peter 1:21 (NIV)
Isabel Monje
was abandoned by her parents and left to grow up in an orphanage
located in the small town of Oruro, Bolivia. At the age of eleven, her
birth father paid a visit to the orphanage and took her back to his
house. Instead of a joyful reunion, Isabel's hopes were dashed when she
entered a home filled with neglect and abuse. As a teenager, she even
attempted suicide at one point. However, Isabel persevered through
those times and eventually ended up leaving Bolivia as a single mom
with a child to arrive in the United States. There she took a factory
job in Irvine, California, to support her baby and herself.
A co-worker
encouraged her to attend a church in nearby Santa Ana, and it was there
she met her "real" Father and dedicated her life to Christ. It was also
while living in this area she met and married John, her second husband.
The Monjes began getting involved with local ministries that focused on
meeting the needs of destitute children. Through serving, the Monje's
received valuable preparation and training as God was preparing them
for an even greater task.
In 2005, the
Monjes founded a Christian non-profit organization called
Transformacion Mundial. The organization was founded on the vision of
helping children in need worldwide. Isabel returned to Bolivia where
together she and John opened three centers for young street children
and orphans, providing them with an education, food, and uniforms. The
organization also partnered with over thirty-seven local churches to
put together children's crusades. In one gathering, over 6,400 kids
heard the gospel. Isabel has also reached out to Haiti, Guatemala,
Uganda, and the Ukraine, speaking and training teachers on how to set
up Bible clubs for children attending local schools.
In 2007, the
Monjes felt God calling them to address the needs of children living in
Baja California, Mexico. This lead to the purchase of some land in
Rosarito. The vision was to build a children's day care center in an
area where single mothers could leave their children during the day,
knowing that while they were at work, they would be cared for both
before and after school. This facility would also be a place where
children could receive tutoring, meals, and be exposed to the Gospel.
At night the facility would serve as a destination for local churches
to bring their youth for worship music, speakers, internet café use,
and planned special events. There would also be parenting classes
offered in the evening to insure a better home life for the kids.
Isabel knew the name of this children's day care center was going to be
LA CASA DE MI PADRE or MY FATHER'S HOUSE. It would be a "home away from
home", a place of faith and hope for children to experience the love of
the true Father, the father that was absent in Isabel's life while
growing up. Their ministry team began praying in earnest as a group
that God would provide for that dream to become a reality.

In 2009, STM
was introduced to Transformacion Mundial through a "chance" meeting and
the process of casting the vision began. At the beginning of 2010, a
decision was made to come along side Transformacion Mundial and local
Rosarito partnering churches to assist in the building of a 9,200 sq ft
three story facility that will meet the needs of the children, staff,
and surrounding community it will serve. Stay tuned for the upcoming
ground breaking ceremony in June as we hope to see you all there!

Rancho Sordo Mudo Updates
Meet Alejadro and Antonio. They are brothers
from the Tarahumara Tribe of Indians living in the village of Cusarare,
near Creel, Mexico. The brothers share something in common, they both
are without a language because both are deaf. During the month of
April, Luke Everett and some folks from STM visited these boys in the
hopes of having them attend Rancho Sordo Mudo in the Fall. During the
week long serving trip, the group traveled by plane, train, and
automobiles from Los Mochis to Chihuahua, with several stops in
between. The purpose of the trip was to visit an existing deaf ministry
and connect with other missionary groups trying to establish deaf
ministries throughout the region. Spanish, English, German, American
Sign Language, Mexican Sign Language, and Tarahumara were all spoken,
but the message was the same: The Gospel needs to be communicated to
everyone, hearing and hearing impaired alike. Part of the
mission of Rancho Sordo Mudo is to be a conduit to that happening
throughout Mexico, Latin America, and the world. To view a slideshow
overview of the trip:
For those of you interested in attending the RSM graduation
in May or are interested in coordinating a serving trip to the ranch
please contact Steve at steveandcelia@gmail.com
For those of you living in the San Diego area, HEARING
EVERETT will be screened at the West Coast Spirit
Festival in Del Mar on Friday, May 28th. For details Click Here

Serving Trip to the Earthquake Region of Mexicali
On 05/01/10, STM, along with Tranformacion Mundial and a
local Mexicali church, visited another church that hosted a one day
community outreach. The event was held just 5 miles from the epicenter
of the recent Mexicali earthquake. The event featured Isabel Montes as
the guest speaker,Mexicali church members providing worship music, and
over 1,000 pounds of food and water being distributed. A majority of
the food was provided by a recently received shipment of Feed My
Starving Children Mana Packs donated by GAIN, food items from the Santa
Ana project warehouse, and rice packed by Saddleback Church High School
students who participated in a massive food packing event last
fall. Over 250 people were in attendance.
 A
Children's choir sang several songs, while volunteers did face painting
and handed out special treats. Over 40 people made commitments to
Christ, and dozens more were prayed over. It was a powerful day that
brought joy and relief to a lot of families. Plan to be a part of our
next visit.
