100 Tiles for 100 Kids

So let's say you're artistically challenged, or you think tile painting is just for kids. There's still a quick and easy way for you to be involved in the Tiles of Love "fun"raiser for the new nursery building down at the Door of Faith Orphanage!
For the month of March, we are looking for 100 people who will personally sponsor one of the kids down at the Door of Faith so that they can hand paint a tile for the new nursery. How awesome to give these children the opportunity to create a lasting artful and playful contribution to the new building project. Color Me Mine in Rancho Santa Margarita will provide the tiles and paints to take down to Mexico for a fun filled day for the kids. Each child will create and paint their own tile, and then we'll bring their "works of art" back up here to glaze and fire. When the tiles are ready, we'll take them back down to Door of Faith and show the kids what amazing artists they are! Each child will have his or her picture taken with their tile, which we'll send to you - their sponsor.
Can you imagine the doorways and corridors of the new nursery lined with the colorful and unique tiles made possible by your $100 donation? Let's make March the month that will get this new nursery out of the ground! Remember to go to www.strongtowerminstries.info to the DOF project page to get more information on both the "Tiles of Love" and "100 Tiles for 100 Kids" fundraiser projects.

Rancho Sordo Mudo Project
Now that the Hearing Everett film has gone into post production, our next trip to the ranch will focus on the filming of 5 short documentaries that will accompany Hearing Everett study guide curriculum that is being developed. These 10 minute documentaries will complement the film and contain testimonials from various people who have been influenced by RSM and the act of serving itself. If you haven't made the trip down to RSM yet, and would like one last chance to be a part of the filming experience, you can join us March 27- March 30. We can use people that are willing to provide transportation to and from the ranch, help with the loading and unloading of film equipment, or just help prepare meals for the crew during the 12-14 hours of shooting that will occur each day. For more information on the March trip, you can email Jim at jim@strongtowerministries.info .

Door of Faith-Nursery Build
For those of you who have been waiting to volunteer you skills and time to get the Nursery underway, now's the time to start looking at your calendar to plan your day or weekend serving trip. We now have the electrical box in place, the soil work has been completed and the survey lines have been drawn. The next step will be the footings for the foundation. If you have experience in concrete, plumbing, or electrical, or can use a shovel and push a wheelbarrow, you are invited to join us in the building effort. You can contact Steve at steve@strongtowerministries.info to get filled in on all the details.

Purple Palace
Tyler & Connie Youngkin-Directors
Is there a plumber in the house??? It seems with the recent rains and the infamous Tijuana sewer system, the kids and staff at the Purple Palace have experienced a great deal of flooding in their sleeping and play areas inside the orphanage. We are not sure if it a drain issue originating from the outside or if the inside pipes have been infiltrated by an onslaught of "play-dooh or hot wheels" that is leading to the clogs. Either way, if a plumber type would pay the Purple Palace a visit to access the problem and provide some solutions, we know the kids would sure appreciate it! |

Hearing Everett
For those wondering where we are at with the project and when the release date will be, here's the latest. The film is officially "in the can" and now begins the edit process. We expect this to happen over the next several months. During that time, you will see major changes happening to the Hearing Everett website, which will include information on premiere locations near you and how you can be involved getting the film to show as a community outreach tool at your church or in your small group. Everything appears to be on target for a summer 2008 release. |

Want to be a part of one of our Fundraising Committees?
As you know, it takes the time, talents, and treasures of people willing to make a difference to effect change for these children. We are in the midst of a $200,000 building project for the DOF and realize God is going to provide future projects that will also need funding. In the next couple months, we will be adding local fundraising events which will need volunteer committees to help plan and coordinate each event. If you would like to give some time to help organize a golf tournament or black tie affair, send us an email or contact us at 800 619-5315. |
Want to Volunteer and be a part of the STM team?
Whether you can offer some time locally or in Mexico, we are looking for some volunteers to assist the ministry with areas of administration, fundraising, transportation, etc. Please contact Rose@StrongTowerMinistries.info or Michael Walsh with questions or to sign up. |

Lastly, we want to wish you and your family God's blessing during this Easter season, realizing that He is the reason we seek to serve and save, remembering who is glorified from our efforts!
