Strong Tower Ministries originally focused solely on the needs of children in crisis in Latin America. After our first project, the Purple Palace (a 15,000 square foot orphanage facility) was coming to completion, we as a ministry weren't sure what God's will was for us for the future. We decided not to charge out looking for the next project, but rather wait in prayer for Him to show us what the next step was going to be. Over the next couple of weeks, the phone rang and the overwhelming whisper of God's voice clearly directed us to the needs of Rancho Sordo Mudo and the Door of Faith. As time has passed, more projects have come to us and through much prayer and deliberation, the ministry has decided to expand globally. We are excited to introduce to you projects extending from Rwanda, Africa to opportunities to help children locally in our own community. Thank you for taking the time to read about these new chapters of hope and we invite you to join us on this journey of extending God's love to hurting children throughout the world. In His Grace, Michael Walsh Founder Strong Tower Ministries

In September of 2006, a small group from Saddleback Church located in Orange County, Ca undertook a mission trip to Rwanda. There, they went to the Shyogwe Dioceses of the Anglican Church in Gitarama. It was on this trip they would meet Pastor Emmanuel Gasana, who oversees a school for boys and girls. The school provides not only an education to these children, but introduces Christ into their lives. The school also provides room and board to these children. The boys are housed on the church grounds, while the girls are accommodated off site, in a living arrangement that has proved to be very unsatisfactory. To achieve better discipline and supervision of the girls and improve their learning environment, the solution was the construction of an onsite girls' dormitory. The building of a girl's dormitory is our ministries focus at Shyogwe. To achieve this goal, a forty thousand dollar fundraising campaign has begun which you can be a part of. You can also be a part of going to Rwanda on a serving trip to actually visit the campus and be a part of the construction. | Opportunity to Help Children Living in Poverty in our own Backyard! There is a local doctor in Santa Ana, CA, who is a part of Strong Tower Ministries, that is making a difference in our own backyard! Santa Ana is home to a large Hispanic family population whose children have needs that we could be addressing. Every first and third Saturday of each month, this doctor opens up the parking lot of his office to local churches, who minister to the needs of these families by offering them love, food, and clothing. If you would like to donate either new or used "in good condition" clothing, food items, or find another way to become a part of this outreach event, please contact Tracey at tracey@strongtowerministries.info .
| Hearing Everett: The Rancho Sordo Mudo Story The film and study guide edits are continuing through the month of July. This month, the film and study guide shorts are in the hands of the professionals who will be in charge of composing music, sound editing and mixing, graphics and coloring, and a multitude of other areas needed to complete the project. We also have selected churches from across the United States that will be screening the film and small groups that will be screening the study guide materials. So far the response has been very positive and we can't wait to get all the feedback so we can finalize things before the project gets rolled out. If you want to get updated information about the film or are interested in getting your local church involved, please visit the website at www.hearingeverett.com . Finally, we ask that you continue to be in prayer for all the professionals and volunteers who are involved, that God's hand of direction continues to be upon each and every one of them. | | Purple Palace Christmas Project "Tool Time" The Purple Palace is now home to over 80 children who are now safe and loved. As an expression of their love, the older kids at the Purple Palace have started building homes for others in need in TJ. In partnering with Spectrum Ministries the Purple Palace kids have participated in the building of 3 homes so far. Along with Ramon, the Purple Palace Facility Overseer the older kids wish to become their own self sufficient "build team" and have the full support to do so! They wish to continue to pass along the gift of a home to others in need but they need our help in the collection of the tools they need to do this. | | | | | Door of Faith "Muscle Mission" Work Day Two "Day" Trips July 19 & Aug. 16, 2008 -
