As we write this month's newsletter we are both thankful and humbled to see the Lord continuing to show Himself and using many individuals for His purposes. These seem like troubling times. Life is difficult for many families and individuals that are connected to Strong Tower Ministries. We say 'troubling' but behind the difficulties and the headlines,  God also has a plan that we occasionally get to take a peek at. And that makes our service to Him a very special treat indeed. Please read this newsletter and prayerfully consider where He might use you this month! 
 
We usually spotlight a ministry that the Lord has brought us alongside to partner with. This month we are also hoping you'll get involved with our WetNWild5K Run/Walk which will help fund Strong Tower Ministries for the upcoming months. Thanks again for your involvement and service to Him.

Our Biggest "FUNdraiser" of 2011!
3 Weeks Away!!
Lazy River WetnWild5K 
So 4,000+ kids living in Baja Mexico are being served by 2,000 people and a 1 "cow" showing up at Wild Rivers Waterpark in Irvine on a Saturday morning to run,walk, and splash their way through a 5K?...REALLY?.....YES!
Its getting down to the wire to register to run, or volunteer to serve at the upcoming WetNWild5k Run/Walk happening on Saturday, August 27th. The gun goes off at 8AM, but before and afterwards check out what else is going on:
  • Chick-fil-A & Juice It Up for Breakfast with proceeds going to the cause
  • LA GALAXY Street Team providing soccer fun for the kids
  • Chic-fil-A COW and Road Runner Sports SHOE DOG posing for pictures
  • Featured Guest Appearance by Jon Sutherland, who is credited by USRSA with the second longest running streak, over 42 years! 
  • KIDS RUN
  • 5K Run/Walk featuring the "LAZY RIVER" run
  • Finisher Medals and T-shirts to all participants 
  • Discounted Waterpark Tickets for a full day of fun afterwards with proceeds going to the cause
  • Bring your donated canned goods to assist Serve The People in their food distribution efforts to needy OC and LA county families
