Please be sure to check our Strong Tower Ministries website for updates, opportunities, news and inspiring stories. | | | Purple Palace  We invite you to join the Purple Palace kids "Build Team" to Build a House in a Day this Tuesday, April 8th! Strong Tower Ministries partners with the Purple Palace orphanage kids, Spectrum Ministries and Sandals Community Church to build a house in a day. Tuesday, April 8th (Capistrano school district spring break) we invite you to partner with our organizations and participate in the miracle of building a house for a family in Tijuana, Mexico. We are building for a family of 7, children ages 7-16. There are so many ways you can help make this house a reality! Will you consider participating? Ways to get involved: -
$1500 is needed to build a 14x16 house (any excess money will be used to build the next house) -

Paint of all colors (Connie and kids will use excess to paint the walls of TJ and future houses! Interior and exterior paint!) In order to build the house we need to raise $1500. Regardless of whether you're coming to build for the day, contributing one of the above items or making a financial contribution - IT TAKES EACH OF US WORKING TOGETHER to make this the "House that love built." Maybe that's not the exact quote from the movie "Field of Deams", but it can sure be used when talking about the DOF nursery building project. This month the foundational work began in earnest. Once the electrical conduit and rebar has been placed, it 's concrete pouring time! This is where it gets fun because for all of you who have been waiting to jump in and help with the building, now is the time to start booking your serving trip. Remember, its just not about building a nursery, it's about the relationship building that occurs between the people you serve with and the kids and staff of the Door of Faith you have the opportunity to serve. Please contact us via the website or call us to see what's coming up that you can come down and be a part of this Kingdom Building opportunity. | | Rancho Sordo Mudo- The Hearing Everett Film Project Update Nate Allman has signed on to the Hearing Everett movie. He is an up and coming singer out of Texas. His song "Unconditional" from the album "Dream for Free" produced by 540 records, will be in the film. The Christian music group Newsboys are excited to come along side of Hearing Everett and allow one of their songs to be used in the movie. www.newsboys.com
Recently Newsboys was named 2007 artist of the year; "something beautiful" named 2007 song of the year
Australia's national Christian music charts, The Rock Across Australia (TRAA), named contemporary Christian music mainstay newsboys 2007 Artist of the Year, and recipient of the Song of the Year honor for Something Beautiful.
The song "Something Beautiful" from their album "GO" will be used in the movie. We are very thankful to the Newsboys for being a part of the Hearing Everett experience.  The editing for Hearing Everett has begun and it is being done by a Christian Motion Picture company in Alabama called Erwin Brothers Motion Pictures. Not only do they edit movies, but have produced and made films also. Andy (left) and Jon (right) Erwin, known as the Erwin Brothers, began their careers over a decade ago working as camera operators for ESPN and ABC. Together in 1999, they founded Erwin Brothers Motion Pictures in their hometown of Birmingham, AL. Since then the award winning director team has produced and directed projects seen on CBS, TBN, PBS, CMT, GAC, Gospel Music Channel, iTunes, BET and many others. Their varied portfolio includes commercials, music videos, short films, web content and full-length documentaries. Their multi-award winning 9/11 documentary film The Cross and The Towers is available in stores nationwide. Today, the company consists of seven professionals and a 16,000 square foot studio just outside of Birmingham, AL. The Brother team hopes to begin working on original feature films in the near future. http://www.erwinbrothers.com/home.html | | | | | | DOF "Tiles of Love" Fundraising Project 
Thanks to all who have already contributed to the "Tiles of Love" and the "100 Tiles for 100 Kids" fundraising projects. Your efforts have resulted in almost 10,000 dollars being raised over the last couple months towards the building project We now have almost 20 children sponsored for the "100 Tiles" project. We plan to announce an upcoming date in May where you will be invited to come down to the DOF to tour the new construction site, as well as the rest of the orphanage, and witness the children decorate their individual tiles which will permantely be place d in the courtyard entry areas of the new nursery. The folks at "Color Me Mine" in Rancho Santa Margarita are going to attend that day to assist the kids with the fancy decorating. Check the website calendar for the date and we look forward to seeing you all there! | | Passports?? Do I NEED ONE?? The latest on the passport situation is that you are not required to have a passport traveling into and out of Mexico by land until sometime this summer 2008, but you are now required to carry a copy of your birth certificate, along with a valid form of identification. For up to the minute updates, you can go to the Department of Homeland Security for more information. | | Want to Volunteer and be a part of the STM team?
